Hey there!

Growing up in the very northwest corner of Ohio in a quaint town called Pioneer, a young girl by the name of Ally dreamed of someday being able to write her own story for kids to enjoy since so much of her childhood was spent with her nose in a book. When she graduated from high school, Ally decided to attend Taylor University where she honed both her writing and editing skills while finding some interest in other artistic disciplines. Since graduating, Ally has begun work at WeddingDay Magazine and even does some freelancing on the side when she isn't devoting time to her novel.

For those of you who know her in real life, you may be wondering where her chosen pseudonym comes from. Ally has many Scottish roots on both sides of her family and has recently learned more about her heritage and where her name originated. Ally's real surname was included in the clan MacDonald, so she chose to honor it by picking the clan name instead.

When Ally says she loves all things nerdy, it isn't an exaggeration. Ally has proudly been a member of many fandoms since she was young and first picked up a Harry Potter book. She could spend hours talking your ear off about her favorite series and characters. Recently, Ally has become a sports fanatic and will happily talk to you about golf, football, formula 1, and baseball. Ally has also loved animals since she was a child and loves to go to zoos or just be around her two cats and dog.
